Albatros rides their second tour this season and aims for a sprinting succes in their Perm Tour debut. Brent Waechter is captain and will go for a result in the first and in the last race. The team has good hopes for succes but (not for the first time) the press does not feel the same way and advises the team to go for breakaway results.
From OCM Magazine:
"The Albanian formation Albatros seems one of the weaker teams present and they have to have some very good luck to do better then their 10th spot in Monte Rosa's GC. Honestly, we don't see it happen and their best shot is to go in breakaways. "
Albatros' s first Perm Tour ended in a succes. Where in the first race Waechter dissapointed with a 14th place he made up for it with a 2nd place in the Perm Parade. Although Waechter said he could have done even better, the team's tour was a big hit wich was also pointed out by the reporter that had said Albatros would not have much chance of succes.
From OCMagazine:
"Stage 4 : Perm Parade
Diedrich Rinzema came to Perm with one goal only: win stage 4. And this is exactly what he did! Waechter from Albatros (sorry for calling you one of the weakest teams, you got a result out of the tour!) and Evans from Cremtec completed the top3."
Can't wait till next season.
